Kristin Avila
7th/8th Grade Teacher
Mrs. Avila was born and raised in the East San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated from William Jessup University with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts (teacher education) and a Bachelor of Bible and Theology. Mrs. Avila and her husband, Ken, a concrete contractor, live in Foresthill and have a beautiful 18 month old son named Micah.
Mrs. Avila started following the Lord during her high school years, and has been a part of the church body here at Calvary Chapel Auburn for 8 years. Though this is Mrs. Avila’s 6th year of employment at CCCS, this is her first year holding a teaching position, and she LOVES it! She feels so blessed to be part of the teaching staff, and has the added joy and privilege of teaching many of the students she has seen grow up here.
Aside from teaching, Mrs. Avila and her husband serve as the High School Youth Group Leaders and oversee the youth ministries at Calvary Chapel Auburn. Teaching and discipling junior high and high school students is truly her passion.
Mrs. Avila also enjoys spending time outdoors with her family hiking or swimming at the river, scrapbooking, renting movies, reading or traveling.
